Ezra Miller's "The Flash" launched to $9.7 million in Thursday box office previews. By comparison, “Black Adam” collected $7.6 million, “Aquaman” had $9 million and “Shazam: Fury of the Gods” made $3.4 million.

June 16, 2023 It was pounded into our heads that David Zaslav, James Gunn and even Tom Cruise thought The Flash was the best superhero movie ever created.
And yet, it only took in $9.7 million in previews.
Variety wants you to think its a good number compared to other DC fare, but 2 of the 3 films listed were massive flops. To make matters worse, its Rotten Tomatoes audience score has dropped 8 points to an 87%, and its PostTrak recommend score is a 60% (Deadline also points out that exits always skew higher on Thursday due to fans).
Film is still tracking at $75-80 million.
