Usually All Stars seasons are considered separate from the regular Project Runway seasons (there are 19 regular PR seasons and 7 PR:AS seasons) but the show decided to make their 20th season an All Star season, so welcome to season 20 with all stars (not season 8 of All Stars). I never watched and of the non-Heidi/Tim seasons other than the all stars seasons so i am rooting for Heidi/Tim era people. I voted for Laurence though of all those she was my fave designer.

They shouldvhave brought back Dmitry again for the lulz given that he's won all stars multiple times now. I just think it's funny he's undefeated on PR.

I'd love to have him back just for commentary tbh, don't even need him to design. Maybe they should have him as a guest judge.

He has the funniest dry comedic delivery on commentary ever. Is he still just teaching at Parsons? Lol.

Is this show actually a launchpad for anyone's career or is it like ANTM where it's actually a setback in terms of succeeding?

If you read the designer bios in the post, many of them have gone on to successful careers creating red carpet looks for A list celebrities, working as costume designers on big budget movies (Mila received an Emmy nomination for her work), running their own companies, etc. All of the things that are listed in their bios happened after they appeared on the show so I'd say the exposure was good for them. During the episode, Kara Saun said that right after her season ended, someone contacted her and hired her because she was on Project Runway so it seems like it has helped more contestants than it has hindered.

Christian Siriano is a huge name in fashion now after he won PR.

He's also done some collaborations with lower end companies like Payless and Spiegel without affecting his high end/red carpet reputation.

I think I stopped watching in S4 or something like that but if it’s on Peacock then I’ll watch it

I love that, like Jordan Catalano, Kara Saun must be referred to using her full name at all times.
