Technically both shows had minors sleeping with teachers that began in their first seasons. Riverdale just gave it up early & PLL committed to it for the whole thing.

every show from the early to mid 2000s is going to have fatphobia, homophobic jokes, and a ton of other off color stuff that wouldn't be accepted today. Because it was made 20 years ago and things change lol.

Right? Like that is the basis of most of the humor on Friends and that is the most widely streamed and rerun show ever.

There were some cringy race jokes make by her and her husband's characters.

Also, I remember in season 4 they had to edit out a joke that pissed people off (rightfully so.) Susan (Teri Hatcher) is at the doctor and asks to see his credentials "just to make sure they aren't from some school in the Philippines."

I think a lot of those clips are just stuff taken out of context to make it look worse than it actually is.
