This is part 2. They decided to be confusing and give it its own name.

im fine if it has a different name but above they mentioned its a "new story" and a "standalone adventure." like can yall just say its a continuation of the story with new elements like a normal company!?

I didn't even notice that (clasisic ONTD doesn't read!). That is very confusing! Maybe they start this one in a way that somehow makes sense if you didn't play the first? Not sure how they'd do that though.

No they just meant that they will deviate from the og story a bit and also make the game in such a way that some who hasn't played the first (Remake) won't be confused.

i'm only the most casual of fans so i may be completely off base, but i think the end of the first remake game foreshadowed that they're going to deviate a bit from the plot of the original so maybe they didn't want to go with "remake part 2"
