The Bear is too anxiety inducing for me to consider it a comedy, having said that, I can't wait for its return.

I tried watching it but the pilot just felt like stressed out people screaming at each other and I mostly dissociated through it, if I didn't like the pilot, should I keep trying or will it be more of the same?

The rest of the episodes are less stressful (except maybe the last episode?) but there is still some fighting/conflict.

i was listening to a podcast where they talked to a writer on that and apparently he was told to add jokes and was just like '...where?' and then when the show won an award, one of the people involved said 'i guess we've proved that comedy doesn't have to be funny.' so even the people involved don't seem to consider it a comedy
