Currently watching Grey’s Anatomy (season 4). I can see why people disliked Izzie and she often annoys me, but I much prefer her to Alex. Hate him.

Currently watching the ep where Brian Kinney is a racist paramedic and I have no clue how you can do a job like that, when you’re such a piece of shit.

Seasons 3 and 4 are when she and TR Knight (George) started speaking up more about mistreatment and so in retaliation the writers made them very unlikeable.

That said, I never liked George because he made his move on Meredith when she was very vulnerable and then everyone slut shamed her for it.

Tbf, George acknowledged the timing and apologised, so I didn’t really sense that we were meant to agree with any shaming of Meredith.

A lot of the characters are really shitty. Derek is a terrible boyfriend, but the show doesn’t seem to think he is.

Yeah I was rewatching a little bit ago and being in my 30s I look at some of the characters a lot differently lol.

I know we weren’t supposed to agree with her treatment and George apologized but he still did it and felt sorry for himself. I just hated that storyline so much.

iirc they both heavily and rightfully disliked George and Izzie getting together , I don't know if that storyline was created before they spoke up or after but that to me really was almost the beginning of the end for both characters. I know they tried to give Katherine something in s5 with the cancer storyline but s3-s4 especially was really downhill for her character.

I do not get how so many people liked George, Callie, Izzie, and Lexie. I don't think he is the worst male character on the show, that spot is reserved for Owen but 3 people romantically liking George was overkill

The shit with Isaiah had come to a head by that point and Shonda was finally forced to fire him (season 3 was his last). She resented Katherine and TR being vocal about his antics and wanting him gone.

The timeline is too coincidental and we had a post here a while ago where some behind the scenes folks confirmed it was retaliation.

omg alex sucks. he gets better as the show goes on (I'm not finished, I'm on like season 11 I think) but jfc he's heinous for a while
