Rolling Stone writes Taylor Swift should not be held responsible for racist controversy surrounding Matty Healy:
“For the last 17 years, we’ve held this woman responsible for the actions of men she chooses to spend time with, and it’s time to stop.”

May 30, 2023 I feel like I'm taking crazy pills that all of a sudden they're trying to spin the narrative that we've always been holding her responsible for the actions of the men she dates and that's like...not true at all?? She gets the last word about EVERYONE she dates and we swallow it wholesale, in a way I don't think I've ever seen play out for anyone else. Plus, and I can't believe this needs to be said, we are not 'holding her responsible' for the things he's said and done. We ARE calling her out for CHOOSING - they said it in their own damn article, it's a free choice she's making!! - to date a man who the entire internet (and increasing numbers of not terminally online ppl) is aware is a racist, sexist trashbag. This is another attempt from her team to try and 'fix' the situation - they can no longer deny or ignore that he's a human colostomy bag so now it's 'you're being a misogynist if you judge her for this'. This is gonna backfire massively. Even in the replies to the tweet her fans are angry this angle is being tried
