i'm the same way...youtube is a staple for me. i like investing in creators, it's one of my favorite things about the internet. plus, it's frustrating to watch something and have it be gone before it even gets a fighting chance. there's some actors big and small that i'll try to always check out their work but it's so disheartening, i have to sign up for so many different things just to watch one show.

There are a lot of Netflix movie that I started but never finished because they were so bad but every once in a while they do bring out good stuff (Set it Up, e.g.).

I do hate that I have to have 3 different streaming services though and that's only because not everything is available in Germany so I can't even watch everything I want to watch. And I hate Netflix for their new policy about password sharing.

My sister lives in Germany and likes to watch things in their original language if possible, and it drives her crazy that Amazon Prime has some seasons of shows only in German, but other seasons in German and English and other Latin languages.

I have a personal vendetta against Amazon Prime and their weird decision to not have every show and movie in its original language. I actually asked them on Twitter why that was and they told me some bullshit about not being able to buy the rights to show it all in English but never answered when I asked why that doesn't seem to be a problem for Netflix or DisneyPlus.

He’s right. Even the content that Netflix pays a lot to advertise isn’t that great - Shadow & Bone season 2… that was so, so bad. Drive to Survive is becoming controlled by some F1 teams so the narrative is even further from the reality, so it’s increasing the divide between the TV show fans and the gatekeeping F1 fans. I’m also too scared to get into anything with a lower budget in case it all gets cancelled before its time anyway.

There's just too much stuff everywhere. I like cinemember because they don't have a thousands films and use clear categories - with Netflix I feel like I have to stumble onto gems.

I thought he was going to mention how he fears the future of streaming because AI is going to take over the airwaves/internet and just start deepfaking television without the input of humans.
