Must read from a Swiftie giving up the label over Tay's latest bullshit

Her remix of "Karma" with Bronx rapper Ice Spice reeks of damage control and exploitative PR strategy. https://t.co/Y9znMq9HmZ

It's funny to hear all of her fans being suddenly experts on how long it takes to record a collab and get a new CD printed.

I'm old enough to remember the days when charity singles and Pop Idol winners had CDs in the stores literally days after their song was recorded or they won the contest. If you have the power and the money, you can get things done quickly.

the remix was so fucking low effort. And based on how thin Taylor is in the video, it was recorded very recently. They probably got a contract signed for it a little while ago but the actual thing has been rushed out the door due to *gestures wildly at everything*

They’re acting like Taylor’s some up and coming artists struggling to get the capital with limited resources who had 1,000,000 copies made, burned them herself and shipped to targets nationwide. Yeah the logistics behind that might take awhile. But She had a small amount of physicals CDs available at a location close to NYC. Those could have been produced nearby in a few days and brought to the stadium directly from the plant. There’s probably CD pressing plants in NJ. The CD wasn’t a complicated nationwide release - hell it didn’t even have lyrics or producer/writer credits. And it’s Taylor Swift she has the resources - financial and influential - to make it happen fast.

Edited because I’m high and not making sense.

Also I remember Forever & Akways was written and recorded last minute for Fearless. I checked and Taylor Joe Jonas broke up in October, Fearless came out November 11.

So if baby Taylor on a indie record label can write and record a song and have it added to an album 5 weeks or less before an album is in stores, mega star Taylor can do it in significantly less time.

also wasn’t this one a limited edition sold in person at her concert? that’s even easier, logistically.

Nah, it’s been confirmed it’ll be sold at the Chicago shows too. This is Taylor we are talking about, she loves money. It’ll be on her website Monday and in stores Friday knowing her,
