As soon as [Spoiler (click to open)] they started drawing cards around the fire, i figured Natalie was a goner. Juliette Lewis has wanted to leave the show since last year and I guess they finally let her
she said she was pitched a character that was way different than how the character turned out. i don't think she liked how dark the character got. she was fucking PISSED last year, the whole cast were at some press junket and she basically refused to answer questions and walked off set as soon as she could (while everyone else just sitting there like uhhhhh)
Wowwww damn. I had no idea. I've always had a soft spot for her bc she is actually aging but I also think someone said she's a supporter of Depp. So....ugh.
Is this press junket online (like a video) or is there a writeup on it? That's wild. Thank you for filling me in.
it's kind of unprofessional of her to act like this but i don't know, she has her own personal history with addiction and i can see how acting that out might be triggering for her. she might have said no to the role if she had been informed that's what it would be like.
Yeah, I still remember Mandy Patinkin walking off of Criminal Minds and I always wondered what happened and I learned recently it's bc he wasn't told of the full extent of how dark it would be.
He said something like, "I wasn't told it would be killing and r*ping women in horrible, violent ways every single episode. No one told me that."
Totally unprofessional behavior, and also, concurrently, I gotta respect that answer to not want to be a part of that. Tbh I stopped watching after he and Lola (who played Elle) left, like just 1 or 2 seasons in...I think n them leaving really ruined the show, I just couldn't get on board with Paget Brewster's character although she seems cool irl.
Right?! Like, that's where I'm like....it's obvious he did zero research.
And then left everyone high and dry and ruined my fave show of that time. I remembering being like 19 when show started and being so mad when he kept getting work after fucking everything up.

Imo it made sense for the story, and ngl I have never ever been sure about JL's acting in my life, so I can't say I'm too sorry 🤷🏻♀️
