“don’t you think I was too young to be messed with? the girl in the dress cried the whole way home. I shoulda known.”
bc it was honestly so relatable to every teenaged girl who thought dating a college-aged guy made us look cool. I had no clue she pulled the exact same shit with a teenaged Kennedy kid a few years later until I was much older.
The hypocrisy and the damn audacity to (rightfully) drag somebody publicly through the mud for doing something and then seeing nothing wrong with pulling the exact same stunt.

Source me: i went to boarding school in new england in the late 2000s

On a scale of 1-10 how similar was your experience to Zoey 101??

But boarding school was weird as fuck for me because i was a brown kid on scholarship that went from an all public school background in the south Bronx to an all white rich kids school in NE. So socially.... Lol. The first weekend i was there I accidentally laughed at a kid lamenting about their parents selling one of their houses, they were dead serious and i clearly thought it was a joke.
I'm glad for the experience in that it prepped me for college/middle class life, in more ways than i can count but i often look back and rediscover the problematic shit i was naive about in my teens as an adult that has me questioning a whole lot about class, identity, race etc. ANYWAYS i genuinely could go on forever.
