Florence and the Machine's The Dog Days are Over" plays over the final montage of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and pretty much cause everyone to breakdown, including Florence Welch herself, who shared her reaction on TikTok with the following caption:
So I cried all the way through this movie but when the The Guardians of the Galaxy started dancing to Dog Days I really lost it. Thank you so much for all the love for this moment. The superhero obsessed little girl in me can’t believe it happened ♥️ x
The film ends with[Spoiler (click to open)]Quill returning home to Earth and reuniting with his grandfather, Gamora returning to the Ravagers, Drax and Nebula living on Knowhere and taking care of all the kids imprisoned by the High Evolutionary, Mantis going on a self-discovery trip with the Abilisks, and Rocket forming a new Guardians team with Groot, Cosmo, Adam Warlock, Kraglin, and Phyla.
