Inauguration breakout star, model & fashion darling Ella Emhoff is named an Icon by Harper's Bazaar!
Noted aesthete Ella Emhoff, 23, stepdaughter of Kamala Harris and daughter of Doug Emhoff, has been declared an ICON by Harper’s Bazaar. Prior to receiving this honor, Emhoff appeared on several lists of up-and-coming "nepo babies". She debuted at the 2021 Biden Inauguration in a daring look that "stole the show" and "made heads turn." Less than a month later, she signed with IMG Models. She has since walked at New York Fashion Week and appeared in Vogue with high praise, such as "Model Ella Emhoff has become a Balenciaga runway mainstay." In a recent interview with People about her newfound icon status, she admitted it was "kind of shocking" but "an incredible honor" to learn she was iconic.
According to Emhoff's Wikipedia page, "She has gained attention from the BBC and the New York Times for refusing to shave her armpit hair." Her boyfriend, Sam Hines, believes this is part of what makes her an icon, stating, “She does herself and that’s the message. She is a true individual. And that’s the most important. That’s what being an icon really is.”
