I haven’t seen either show and don’t care for either of them, but I feel like Olsen did a better performance in this scene. I see I’m in the minority, lol.

It’s A LOT, but isn’t it supposed to be? Like, she’s a straight up psycho, of course her interpretation of what happened will show her as this overly emotional victim.

Where it stops for me is that I read this version plays this as a factual scene and that’s screwed up if the audience doesn’t look into the case more.

I also like Lynskey’s acting more than the other woman’s acting.

I've watched both shows and the HBO version is way better imo. It also has a great soundtrack.

It's really hard to beat David E Kelly imo

Hbo didn’t even try to make it feel like the 80’s.
Hulu got everything right.

Yeah. Lynskey and Olsen are superior, and it's not even close.

The problem for me is HBO states that it's a true story and thus what's happened instead of "this is Candy’s version of events." That's a huge problem, considering the HBO version makes it feel like Candy is the sympathetic one/the truth. At the very least, Hulu's made it pretty damn clear Candy is full of shit.
