But also since they didn't announce a release date when they first broke the news a week or so ago I suspect it will be after May 18.
What impressed me most while seeing it is that it honestly felt like I was listening to a studio recording, their voices were so pitch perfect. Compared to Parade where it was all a bit rougher and not as strong singing as the OBC.

Oh man I saw a Hadestown touring version in December and hadn't listened beforehand, and while it was such a cool production it was not my jam. But my husband is a musician/former band nerd and loved it. I appreciated it but I wanted more story. It's definitely a musical for musicians, which I respect.
I'm so excited for Sweeney! Where were your seats? We are in front mezzanine, near the center, row C! I hope you're right that the soundtrack will be released later so I'm not tempted lolol

And I was in like middle mezzanine, around the middle? Mezzanine is good, you will be able to get a good view of the actions on all the levels and of the cool lighting design. Enjoy!

I paid $500 for two tickets in front mezz and I regret nothing, though I prob could've gotten them for $100-$200 cheaper if SOMEBODY (see: my husband) had made up his mind earlier about whether we could afford to go (we can't, doing it anyway, #YOLO)

I won the lottery and saw it front row this weekend for $30. Josh Groban spat on me. It was great.
