Armen Nahapetian plays a younger version of Joaquin Phoenix in ‘Beau is Afraid’. A number of viewers have assumed that his character was just Joaquin Phoenix de-aged with CGI and have been surprised to see him in person.

“I went to the movie theater a few weeks ago, and one of the employees was pointing at the poster saying, ‘Oh, my God, you’re real!’” Nahapetian recalls.
