Elizabeth Olsen's Love & Death Apparently Sympathizes With the Killer

Elizabeth Olsen is very good in LOVE & DEATH, an otherwise terrible and tasteless show that ponders the question: what if a suburban housewife deserved to get hacked to death with an axe and her killer was the real victim all along? https://t.co/0Tv1uzWHXr

That’s what happens when true crime becomes a form of entertainment. Fuck the victims.

In Western Australia we had a big case around the Claremont Serial Killer who was found guilty of multiple murders in the 90s last year. They just aired a telemovie about it and it just angers me more than anything.

I remember that case quite well - the media went nuts when Ciara Glennon went missing. That was the confirmation of a serial killer; not very common here, so it was all anyone talked about for ages. I did see a bit of a trailer on TV for something and thought it sounded like that case. I’m not surprised they’ve done that since the killer was only caught a few years ago so that would have revived “interest” (gross) in it.

Yeah, I'm from there. He was found guilty last year I believe.
I live about 20-25 minutes away from Claremont.
Channel 7 did it, Kate Richie was in it.

That’s what Kate Ritchie chose to go back to acting for? Classy.

And they had her being the wife to Eric Thompson.

For comparison when he first became well known on All Saints he was 33. Kate Richie was on Home and Away and was 20.

I can’t find the real ages of the Spiers. But ew.

Also Tasma Walton was in it too. Girl you’re FROM WA. No excuse.

It aboustly bombed.

I moved to Perth in 2007 but had vague memories of hearing about it as a kid. People are still scarred by it.

I remember when he got arrested. Someone literally stood up at work and yelled ‘they’ve arrested the Claremont killer’ and the ENTIRE floor just stopped working for 30 minutes.

He was involved in the sport I am so a lot of people knew him. It was surreal.
