Her cover was used in episode 4 in replace of the original theme song.
It's a one off for the opening credits, but we can expect to hear it at other points throughout the season.

I want them to have a different 90s alt woman do a version of the song for the credits in the future. I would be even more obsessed. I thought there was something different this week and I think it would be a great Easter egg for their audience. varuca salt? Liz Phair? letigre? pj harvey? sleater kinney? Ani difranco... garbage? hole? like... that could be fun.

!!! i said the same thing in the last post. ultimate dream would be to have sonic youth reunite for this with kim gordon on lead vocals. they could do a really mad experimental spin on this. breeders too. alanis' version is too similar, even her vocals weren't that much distinguishable from the original. i thought there was smth weird with my audio. did not recognize alanis in it at all.
