• Barry co-creator and star Bill Hader went on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote the upcoming fourth (and final) season of the show.

• Kimmel had living legend Carol Burnett on the show a few days ago, and they talk about how she recently went on the PBS show Finding Your Roots and found out that she and Hader were distant cousins. Kimmel brings it up to Hader and uses the opportunity to embarrass him with old footage where Hader talks about what a crush he had on Burnett as a kid.

• Hader also talks about his daughters making fun of the Barry posters all over LA, shooting parts of the new Barry season in a real life prison, and getting arrested the cop he would later use as inspiration for his Superbad costume).

• The reporter from TheWrap actually got to visit the set during its final week of production as part of their piece on show. Hader talks about how the decision to direct the entire final season by himself, the general vibe behind the camera on a season that gets into very, very dark and tense territory, and what might come next for him.

• In an interview with Vogue, Hader talks about the need to be honest to the characters and the story drove the turn to darkness and is asked if there's an "autobiographical" element in the show. Hader doesn't deny it, and says that sometimes putting things into the show that reflect himself and realizing it later and what a strange thing it is for people who know him to watch the show and see that as well. He also talks about how he directs himself and about wanting to create his own "corner of the sandbox" after the show is over.

In an interview with The Daily Beast’s Obsessed, Hader previews the final season of “Barry.” And yes, he’s heard all of your complaints that it’s not actually a comedy.https://t.co/haR56jTL8L

• In this interview Hader discusses dark comedy and how Barry embraced a darker tone. He says, "I’m always interested in going into the darker place, but not living in it. It’s weird. You get older, and real shit happens to you. Bad things happen to you, and you go through it. When I see a thing that’s just like, ‘Everything’s great,’ I get very annoyed. Then when I watch something that’s sad, or watch a drama, and it’s humorless, I also get annoyed.”
