They did have jetpacks actually lol Their uniform is based off a group of mandalorians who joined up with the Empire and became Imperial Super Commandos.
The Imperial Mandos were led by Gar Saxon and made up of former Death Watch members who became followers of (Darth) Maul after he challenged and defeated their leader-Pre Vizsla. Pre was in possession of the dark saber at the time and his defeat meant possession passed to Maul, which he used it to execute Pre. Most of Death Watch felt this made him their legit ruler and became Maulorians lol Bo, however, was having none of it and bounced with her Night Owls. Pre was a relative of Paz so this incident definitely contributed to the tension between him and Bo we see earlier in the season.
Yes, I do watch animated Star Wars shows far too often, but Rebels was the prequels I dreamed of as a kid and I kind of love it more than the OG trilogy now.
