My personal head canon when I was watching SPN back in the day (I gave up sometime around the Sera Gamble years) was that second!Ruby wasn't actually Ruby at all, but an imposter, and that's what Kripke had intended to hint at all along. It's bullshit lol but it made the whole thing more tolerable for me at the time /shrug
