100% It's when Julia Roberts crashed(?) her half sister's funeral and gave that awful eulogy -

Also, that 'A low Vera' shirt she wore to take a dig at her boyfriend - now husband's - recent ex too.

Basically she's an awful person.

The NE is still a mouthpiece for people wanting to release dirt, and it was heavily reported on at the time; one source even had pics. She's vile.

When it comes to Julia Roberts… I actually do believe the low end tabloids 😬 she truly was that awful and messy in the 90s

She threw an orange at me and my friend in like 8th grade for asking for an autograph. I’ve hated her ever since. The Vera shirt thing made me hate her even more. She’s a mean bitch.

I don't know how she was ever "America's Sweetheart." She seemed to have a lot of nasty stories swirl around her, despite her typecasting, except My Best Friend's Wedding, I guess.

reading those write-ups about her eulogy - idk, i can't really get a read on it. i do think julia is an awful and petty person from the "a low vera" stuff but i've trained to be a funeral celebrant and that type of reaction from family over a suicide doesn't feel uncommon to me.

it's hard to tell what her tone was when she said she was "proud" of her. in my classes, we were instructed to write similar things - though worded MUCH more delicately - for suicides. basically, "while we may not understand it, may we accept (x person) chose to find their own way to healing through death". it's a very tricky thing to handle in a eulogy and julia might've just been feeling a lot of conflicting, complicated emotions. HOWEVER maybe she also is just awful and was being a bitch, that's possible too - idk the backstory of her relationship with her sister.

Her sister hated her before she died, so.
