chris hemsworth stepping back from movies for personal reasons
After he finishes filming the movies he's signed on to, Chris Hemsworth is taking time away from filming to be with his family. This is in the wake of his finding out that he is at a high risk for Alzheimers. It should be noted that this does not mean that he will necessarily have it, just that he has a higher than normal chance of getting it (some sources cite 10% stronger chance of getting it than the average person).

He has stressed that he doesn't intend to give up acting entirely, just to slow down for awhile.
