"Where are the Avengers?"/"This is something I have to do alone." took me out of it. 'Small' shows like Daredevil, SheHulk I can understand their absence in, but this looks alien take over-ish and the earth protectors are ..off for the week?

The Avengers are still officially disbanded at this point, aren't they? And Val hasn't finished putting the Thunderbolts together yet either

But like, we can't beep Iron Man? Call in Black Widow?

All of them? I haven't watched anything since uh Ultron so, but okay: Stephen Strange? Friendly neighbour Spiderman?

Strange could help, but everyone had their memory wiped of Peter Parker so Spider-man is out too. Your comment is making me realize how fucked the team is now 😂

So it’s kinda sad that with Tony’s posthumous speech and all, right after Endgame everything went to shit for the Avengers

It's so funny to me that you managed to pick exactly the two of them that died. lmao

But yeah, there are a ton of other superheroes around that should be able to help out but (as usual with these things) are conspicuously absent every time something big happened that isn't directly involving them. It's a frustrating side-effect of the shared universe.

Bloop, well done to me.

To be fair, at this point most of the new superheroes aren't exactly networked - the only person most of them have in common these days is Wong, and he's kinda busy

Not you naming the ones that are definitely deader than dead… Marvel is in trouble lmao

Iron Man: dead
Black Widow: dead
Cap: about 190 years old now, looks like Joe Biden, rumored to be living on the moon
Spider-Man: magic fuckery that resulted in no one knowing who he is
Hulk: apparently regularly fucks off to space now?
Thor: idk, I hate Taika's Thor but I guess he's still trying to rebuild Asgardian society
Hawkeye: lol

So you could have Hulk, Thor and/or Hawkeye show up but 2 of the three of them have sort of legit excuses to not be there. So really the Avengers are down to one full-time member who happens to be the one regular human guy on the team. 🤣
