I'm glad they got a contract! Turning around what's basically a short film in that amount of time is insane and they deserve to be paid fairly.

It will also provide healthcare benefits for all crew members as well as provisions for meals, hotel stays, and car services given the nontraditional working hours of the long-running NBC sketch series

The fact that they didn't already have those things is ludicrous tbh

Imma just say they're not the only ones at SNL that still don't have these

Which is also ludicrous. If you ask people to work all hours of the day during a show week, they should all be fed and have either a safe way to get home or a safe and secure place to sleep near the studio.

This is brilliant! And so long as well for a pre-taped sketch. They really are doing all the heavy lifting on SNL at the moment.

The one thing I'm sad about with my impending job change is that I won't get to see one of my current employers through our unionization organizing. But I signed my card, and hope that I'm leaving for an already unionized place will be helpful.

These types of things are always a win but I know they come with consequences so I feel like it's kinda like catching pokemon in the safari zone - watching carefully - FLED! - or got caught.
