This weekend has no major studio releases on deck. But Lionsgate has a not-so-secret weapon to achieving big box office numbers - the latest installment of John Wick is projected to rake in a ton of money, just like the previous films. Read on for more offerings from smaller studios.
The films listed are from studios other than the “Big Five” - Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros., Walt Disney Pictures, and Columbia Pictures. Note that some of the movies listed are in their first week or two of limited release in the USA, so it may take them a few more weeks (or months) to show up in your local arthouse theater or on VOD. In demand for concert and TV appearances, BS&T was a darling of the mainstream and rock press, icon of the counterculture and inspiration for a generation of horn-based bands. Their future was limitless. And then it all went wrong.
