honestlybefore this show i didntknow who lenny bruce was and afterloving the clips of his material in the showad loving all scenes with luke in i decided to look up thereal lenny bruce and it is remarkable how luke nailed even the most minute of mannerisms in his portrayal. Hecould have easily have gone full blown parody with the character but instead has him very accurate to who he publicly appears to be. even little hand gestures and things. Luke deserves a great career with his talents
I loved Luke in Take this Waltz and I started watching TMMM because I found out he was in it from Tumblr (lol) and it was one of the best decisions I made because he really is exceptional in it - even if we don't get NEARLY enough of him.
He needs a new agent though because in the last week or so he was guesting on some formulaic ABC series for 1 episode, and then he was in the Boston Stranger, which had potential, but he must have got literally a minutes worth of screen time.
ia about Luke, the first thing I saw him in was Take This Waltz and that movie and his character - phew - seared in my brain! So sad if he's not getting those roles though, he popped up in the Gossip Girl reboot as a dad too, and he deserved more than what he was given.
He was recently the lead on a show Panhandle (*cough*stream*cough*), but it was made by Spectrum, who have since given up on making any original drama content, so it was just dumped on streaming with zero promotion. (It's actually not a bad series and I enjoyed watching it so much more than I thought I would. Yeah it's a bit Monk 2.0 at times, but Luke's really great in it and he looks hot af, so... 😄)
I rewatch Take This Waltz as it's such a good film, but he's also so fine in it. There's a diner scene which I can only find in the most awful quality, but it may be an incentive to watch! Newly Oscar Winning Sarah Polley wrote and directed it, and she knew who this scene was for.
Hoping that the show will bring more work in the future for luke kirby <3

Great he's a lead in it, though by watching the trailer it's not quite my cup of tea. Praying for him to get a new agent soon!
