I'm waiting on someone to do a docuseries on all the horrible shit that happened on antm. Why did they have them doing obstacle course runways! I'm surprised they didn't have more injuries.

The show was straight up abuse and so racist, and I'm glad that people are looking back on it with new eyes. I can't wait for the inevitable docuseries (Netflix, do something good for once).

Tyra's internalized misogyny and racism were fucking ugly. Like when Adrien was groped on the street and Tyra was pissed at her for being upset.

That happened a few times. I remember being a young early teen and disgusted by how Keenya was treated during that one photoshoot. And Jaeda when the model in a photoshoot made racist remarks toward her and they acted like it was her fault that she had trouble with completing the shoot.

Tyra was always on some power trip and always blamed the contestants when something went bad because of a situation that SHE created.

"If you don't stay in that frozen water for hours, you will be eliminated and will never be a real model" **30 min later** "OMG You have hypothermia? Why didn't you tell us you were uncomfortable in frozen water?"

"I know that you're deaf but we'll take pictures of you in the dark" **later** "OMG these pictures are awful! We couldn't communicate with you!"

So much of that was outright stupid.

Like, designers will have you do some weird shit in some difficult to wear clothes, but they are not actively trying to have you fall flat on your ass and embarrass them. Like that clip in the video of them doing a runway on water - in the real world, they would have done *something* to stabilise those platforms.
