Anyway, even though I saw the twist coming, I loved it and Penn is SO good.

Yes this times a thousand, the whole season I kept waiting for his love interest/future victim to be introduced because I couldn’t believe she was supposed to be it

Same. In part 1, you could argue that it was writing, but part 2 definitely tried to give her an actual character arc. The breaking of the ice queen persona, showing her being a good friend to Phoebe, exploring her daddy issues, etc. But still, the actress never made a single moment count.

I liked Charlotte Ritchie in FeelGood and UK Ghosts but she was not compelling in You. I think it's the writing and characterization more than the actor, tbh. She really didn't have much to go off of.

I'm not sure I agree. The writing wasn't perfect but her arc from hating her dad to becoming him, had enough meat that somebody else could have done something with it IMO. She gave absolutely nothing, even in big pivotal scenes. She was just there.

Seriously! I just don't understand how she isn't bigger. She is gorgeous, is an amazing actress and has charisma and screen presence! I am hoping that maybe the Bong Joon Ho movie she's in will make more people pay attention to her. I really wish she would have a big break.

It’s such a shame, bc I really like the actress on the BBC version of Ghosts. But as Kate, she just never ever got there.
