I'm one of the few (maybe only? lol) ONTDers who isn't here for Neve's acting so I don't care that she's not coming back. I can honestly say there wasn't a single Scream movie I watched bc of Syd, she's one of my least favorite final girls and that's largely on Neve's performance.

AGREED. I feel like hardly anyone agrees but I don't think she's a good actress at all! She'd be up there in favorite final girls for me if it was just a different actress in the role.

Also it's extremely bitch eating crackers but she always has her mouth open and it

I thought she was good in Scream and only Scream. I hate horror movies and and well past forcing myself to watch them for ✨The Experience✨ so I’ve only seen the first. I tried watching Party of Five when it aired and she was the most forgettable one… even compared to Scott Wolf.

Regardless, she did carry the series so I’m not mad about her wanting that paycheck. I think that they won’t even negotiate with her next time if this film makes bank.

Not going to bash you for your opinion, but Neve's acting is what grounds all of these movies for me. She's so captivating on screen. There's subtly, softness and strength in how she plays Sidney and you don't often see that all in one female character-let alone in a horror movie! Like- Scream is soap opera lol. It's all so ridiculous and could be really melodramatic, but I think she keeps everything tied to reality.
