even with all this star power watch it still come out looking cheap af. patty jenkins got cooked for what she said but it's true, netflix movies are fake movies somehow it's just always shitty cutting-corners poor quality trash.

i couldn't get into Glass Onion bc of this. They're all so shiny with the same flat digital photography, and they spend money on the wrong things.

this also seems a little too close to Marriage Story for Scarjo. I think would've preferred to see Jennifer in this actually

yes like now I guess the excuse is covid cuz they can't hire a bunch of extras to make scenes look grander but it's always been this way. it's like how everything from mcdonalds taste like mcdonalds. it's that netflix shitty sheen, I'm so over it.

They don’t have to make the effort to win over test audiences or the box office, so they probably just do a few drafts/takes…they don’t have to work on it

it's so obvious too like even when they hire big name directors 9/10 it will be their poorest quality movie. that scene of de niro kicking that guy into the glass door is so embarrazzzing, you could tell nobody gaf cuz it's just netflix.

Meh. Patty Jenkins doesn't have a leg to stand on for "fake movies" after ww84.

Then Nancy Meyers is in the right place.
I've never forgiven her for "The Holiday," wherein we got copious making out and a sex scene for Jude Law/Cameron Diaz but Jack Black and Kate Winslet got a side hug and a smooch at the end.
The woman hasn't known how to write dialog since "Baby Boom" and it's only gone downhill from there.
