The episode felt very much like taking stock of Din's current allies and reiterating his goal for those that didn't watch The Book of Boba Fett. I still liked it, little Grogu was adorable, what more to ask for?
I haven't watched this yet but I figured as much. I'm actually quite annoyed that they included the Din/Grogu reunion in the Boba Fett series, it felt like they were forcing the Mando audience to watch the show. It was such a cute and key moment that should have been included in Mando's own series and wasn't really fair to the Boba actors either
Yeah, I totally agree. The show just went on a one episode Mando excurse which broke the flow of tbobf and felt, as a Mandalorian fan/viewer, unsatisfying because I expected more out of the Luke-trains-Grogu storyline.
At this point I'm convinced TBOBF was planned as an intermission kind of spin-off between S2 and S3, Pedro literally called it a bridge between the seasons in the interview in this post.
