He’s always been 100% right about the monarchy and had amazing comments about them. I think he said once, completely seriously, that it would be better for everyone if Charles had been shot and killed in the early 90s.

I also respect how his position on animal rights has been incredibly radical and unchanged throughout his entire career. And his hatred of Thatcher was so well framed and repeated many times.

It’s partly his excellent positions on these issues that makes his other positions so offensive and insane.

If there's credit to be given to Morrissey, it's about how consistent he is in hating the monarchy.

He is. He had a concert where I live and our weather is perfect especially during summer. He thought it was too cold and ended the show after 5 songs.
