Ashley Park announced on TikTok that she is joining the cast of Only Murders in the Building for season 3. She will play Kimber, a Broadway actress. Other previously announced S3 cast members include Meryl Streep, Paul Rudd, and Jesse Williams.
Ashley Park is best known for originating the role of Gretchen Wieners in the musical adaptation of Mean Girls on Broadway, which earned her a Tony nomination, and her role as Mindy on Emily in Paris. She made her Broadway debut in the ensemble of Mamma Mia! in 2014. She then joined the national tour of Cinderella. She played Tuptim in the Broadway revival of The King and I and Celeste in the Broadway revival of Sunday in the Park with George (the show was scheduled to transfer to the West End but it didn't happen due to COVID). In 2017, she starred in the off-Broadway production of KPOP (she won a Lucille Lortel Award for her role). After leaving Mean Girls, she was scheduled to star in Thoroughly Modern Millie in May 2020 but the production was canceled due to COVID. Other upcoming projects include the Netflix series Beef (starring Steven Yuen and Ali Wong) and the movie Joy Ride (starring Stephanie Hsu and directed by Crazy Rich Asians writer Adele Lim).
Fun fact: Justin Min (Ben Hargreeves on The Umbrella Academy) is her second cousin!
