Sad Lizzie couldn't be a part of the reunion. Still I'm excited to check it out.

I'm so ready.

Fave episode is the Jimmi Simpson / Jackal Onassis one where he just wants to pretend to be a normal dude for an evening lmao. "I wanna be called Dennis."

I’m cautiously excited. I need to rewatch the first two seasons since it’s been literally over a decade since I last watched the show.

Ha, I didn't bother to rewatch the first two seasons beforehand, so within the first 30 seconds of watching the new episode I realized that I didn't remember everything that happened. It ended up not mattering though!

My main issue with this (other than not wanting give Rob Thomas more reboot opportunities after her did vmars so dirty) is that Henry’s character growth seemingly just goes out the window. We ended season two on such a hopeful note with him going in for that indie movie. And his relationship with Casey, to me, was such a big part of the heart of the show. I just don’t know if this is going to work for me. I don’t want Henry to have regressed. He should have GROWN over the past 10+ years, but this reboot won’t allow for that, unfortunately. I think I’m going to be disappointed. But I’ll give it a chance.

Exactly how I feel. Like, I want to watch for the jokes but I also don't want to feel depressed for the characters who, in my mind, have been thriving lol...

agreed! this was an issue with the arrested development reboot as well. it sucked to see michael still stuck and there should be a version of these shows that still works with that

Right? I think it’s an issue with lots of reboots these days, especially reboots that happen a good decade after their show ended. So many writers feel like they have to pick up exactly where they left off, and it ruins what should have been an opportunity for character development IMO.
