Edit - I know she didn’t die but they basically killed her hopes and dreams and saddled her with the exact life she didn’t want

Eh, I don’t agree. I think Rory got exactly what she deserved and she was properly set up for it. Lane never even got a chance. She had the most horrible first sexual experience that leads her to never wanting to have sex again, then gets pregnant with twins from it. She got trapped in Stars Hollow when she so desperately wanted to get out. Rory got out, she just failed because the real world didn’t think she was the special flower she was raised to believe she was and she wasn’t equipped to handle it
