Who is the next star of Drive to Survive?

Paul Martin, one of the main producers of Drive to Survive has said in an interview with the New York Post he very much regrets the departure of Daniel Ricciardo from F1, who was the main character of the series for them.

Martin expects Pierre Gasly to replace him in the role.

s5 of Netflix's DtS drops tomorrow. Producers have been answering questions about the intended star of s6 without Daniel Ricciardo. Ricciardo lost his seat (for a cool ~$20m) after flopping for a second season at McLaren.

Ricciardo was the undoubted star of DtS, now one of the most recognised drivers and the one doing the press rounds.

Producer Paul Martin says s6 will focus on Pierre Gasly in lieu of DR3.
