It would be 'mean' to bring this up TO HIS FACE - but, we don't know him; he's not going to see this.

ONTD is a gossip community, and like it or not, the gay rumours have been gossip for a LONG time - Talking like this doesn't diminish anything, or alter his - very real, I'm sure - love and grief over the loss of his wife ... BOTH things can be true!

We're not trying to out him, though? - we're just referencing the rumours... None of us can say for sure on the topic; 'outing' him would be like: "I saw him in place X and he did Y with Z!"

If anything it's more a joke on the wording of the headline (which I'm not sure is changed from source or not) ... If the headline had been: "John Travolta says he won't date again", I'm sure nobody would be saying a thing; it's just unfortunate phrasing!
