"That mystery is gone. For the most part, we’ve done that to ourselves,”- Ana De Armas

"I mean, listen, I can mess shit up in the real world. Don’t give me another avenue."- Jonathan Majors

I'm glad more celebs are slowly avoiding social media, cause they're right. The mystery and allure of celebs is removed with that. Plus Jonathan is right about screwing up irl vs social media. In real life you can screw up and fix it with the grace of privacy whereas online....everybody knows, everybody keeps an archive, and no one forgives.

The celebrity who are not in demand would absolutely take a hit. But not all celebs who are on there are talking about their personal lives, some are more sponsor/ad stuff which I guess is smarter cause you're selling stuff instead of uploading everything moment of your life.

Yeah I think some (especially soap actors) are told that they have to be on there to promote the show. Others will just have a social media team, which I think is a good route for musicians who can curate their feed more vs posting personal stuff.

I agree that it gets rid of the mystery but I think it makes sites like twitter worse. They basically only post stuff they're trying to sell now which is less fun than when they used to just openly post their thoughts and get into fights with other celebrities and stuff. I miss the drama.

Eh personally I don't miss the random personal thoughts cause it wasn't my brand unless it was funny.

I don't disagree with Ana's sentiment but L O L at it coming from her, she of the infamous daily pap walks with Ben Affleck and her cardboard cutout of herself

at the same time, it's helpful to know what trash people to avoid even though you have to be a certain type of person to actively want to be famous and work in the HW system.
