• According to a report from a banned source, extras working on the set of Joker: Folie à Deux on the WB lot in Burbank are being denied breaks, bathroom access and are even prohibited from drinking water during filming.

• The production is demanding that extras stay on set while they change the camera set ups, which can take up to an hour in certain situations. Extras have been intimidated into not asking for bathroom breaks because other extras have already been berated for asking. The extras have apparently been "working for over 2 hours nonstop" without and breaks.

• According to the report an extra was in dire need of the bathroom and forced to "state their case" to the assistant director. The extra was allowed to go to the bathroom but returned with a cup of water and another A.D. berated them by saying, "why are you drinking more water? So you have to go pee again?" Yet another A.D. was overheard saying, "I've never had to go to the bathroom this much. What do they even do in there? Cause they definitely aren't using them."

• Complaints against the production were formally lodged with the Screen Actors Guild. SAG launched an investigation and spoke to production, and will be monitoring the set.

• This is not the first time extras have been mistreated on a Joker set. Reports surfaced that when they were shooting the first film on location in Brooklyn back in 2018 had locked extras in subway cars and refused to let them out for over three hours. Extras were reportedly banging on the doors of the cars, demanding to be let out and some were even forced to relieve themselves on the tracks of the trains. SAG was made aware of the situation back then and visited the set and claimed to have been monitoring the situation.
