I'm cautiously optimistic about this. Live action disney isn't really my thing but this looks good AND it gave me the chance to learn that *SO* many people know EVERYTHING about mermaid biology and the reasons why she can't be black. Who knew "mum's basement" had mermaid bio 101 till phd level

Based on trailers alone it really does look like a lot of heart went into the film. Halle's charisma is RADIANT based on just very short clips alone. The art direction is stellar and it just looks so beautiful, so spirited and so fun :')
