I didn't think Ross & Rachel should have ended up together (Friends).

I knew I was getting old when I realized I’ve been around long enough to see this morph froman unpopular to popular opinion

LOL it was my opinion even when it aired ( it felt like a lot of viewers wanted her with Joey)

I really don't think many people wanted her with Joey. People vaguely liked the storyline when Joey had his unrequited crush on her because it gave him depth but by the time they dated everyone just went, nope, they don't have chemistry, she has a baby with Ross, it's just awkward. Honestly the actors weren't selling it either, I think they spoke about not caring much for the pairing.

I still see a lot of "skip the Rachel/Joey episodes" comments under Friends content lol, even from people who hate Ross/Rachel.

It made no sense, especially this late in the show. Joey/Phoebe always had a flirty relationship and the chemistry for that, Rachel/Joey just felt forced.

The only good thing that came out of it was the episode when Ross pretends to be fine.

At the time, being so much younger, I was all for it because Jennifer and David just had such great chemistry together. Now I'm like... this is not a good relationship but you still have great chemistry so I'mma park the realism lol

I think the opposite. They became one of those couples that are just too entangled into each other (toxic or not), so they can never not be together.

I agree. But what bothered me even more about that finale (to this day, even though I haven’t watched an episode of Friends in over a decade) is that not a single person was there to be with Monica and Chandler when their kids were born. They all rallied around Phoebe and Rachel, but could care less about everyone else. To me it just felt like a rushed, sloppy ending.
