I'm impressed that the men in your life are ahead of the women in this aspect because, in general, it seems the exact opposite. One of the best examples I have is men's group chats/discord/"porn" sharing sites.

I've seen more than a few relationships end when the girlfriend found out her nudes (pics and videos) were being passed around by her partner and their friends and going further than that because men realllllly like sharing women's bodies and personal lives on the internet.

imo men are far worse and far more damaging with their oversharing and I hope those in your life really are how you think they are. I've been proven right too many times in my three decades of life to ever believe that men are ahead of women when it comes to anything dealing with sex.

Maybe they tell their guy friends and not you since you're a girl in their circle...? My guy friends don't really talk to me about their s-x lives but they'll go on and on about their grievances with their exes.

He could just be the exception too. I have 1 guy close, close guy friend that shared details but he never went into details details about her body parts or anything like that. The same with some of my girlfriends. I think it depends on the level of closeness because some friends overshare and some don't.

This. I had a friend who shared that her brother did this to his ex and also shared a snap chat account with friends and passed around photos of girls that shared pics with him. I had experience with some other guy acquaintances in the same reign.

I was like maybe they deserve to be alone for the rest of their life. Luckily or maybe not, I don't know about my other guy friends. Hopefully they aren't trash but who's to say.

The difference is when the guy decides to respect the woman/women he's with he will absolutely nip that behavior from his friends in the bud. And let them know it's inappropriate.
Other than that men and women will go into detail about the sex they've had and their partner.

yeah, I agree. my "friends" used to tell every fucking detail about the dudes in their lives and their organs, and the guys i hanged out with even denied the whole thing. so, in an aspect, they're ahead lol

This is the exact opposite of my experience! I've been around so many guys openly talking (usually bragging but in a derogatory way) about their ~conquests~, presumably because I'm a lesbian and they think I'm going to play along (nope) but my female friends are extremely conservative when it comes to talking about sex or bodily functions. That could be a British thing though.

I took away the same from the times when my ex-bf's friends forgot about my gender. The level of gossip was such that I refuse to think of either men or women as less sharing as the other. Men simply don't tend to share with women present I guess, it's part of how they keep boy's club intact.

i think it just betrays that some men remain tight lipped when in the presence of a cis het woman, but will devolve into locker room talk with "the boys"

I've had that exact experience too. Something about being a lesbian made straight men think they could say stuff about women and I would agree.

Your male friends are not telling you, a woman, that's different.
