Netflix announced the cast for a film about Prince Andrew's infamous 2019 Newsnight interview. The segment was an unmitigated disaster for the worst Windsor, who was forced to step down from royal duties after it aired due to public outcry.
• Billie Piper will play Sam McAlister, the Newsnight producer who negotiated the interview and later wrote about the experience in her memoir (upon which the movie is based).
• Keeley Hawes will play Amanda Thirsk, Prince Andrew's then-private secretary.
• Gillian Anderson will play Emily Maitlis, lead Newsnight presenter who interviewed Andrew.
• And in a bit of casting so outrageously flattering that this OP felt compelled to make the post and ask what the hell, Rufus Sewell will play Andrew himself.
