• The Last of Us and Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal makes his hosting debut on SNL tonight! In an interview on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Pedro said that while doing the show was at the top of his bucket list, there is a level of fear involved. He says that it's "a wall of sheer terror" that everyone who works on the show helps break down over the course of the week so they can prepare for the live show.
• This will be Coldplay's seventh appearance on the show and their first time back since November 2019. Chris Martin was the "musical guest" during the first SNL at-home episode in April 2022 where he performed a cover of Bob Dylan's “Shelter From The Storm” in his home studio.
• Due to inclement weather, SNL adjusted its usual standby line protocol. Instead of camping out overnight, fans were instructed showed up in the early evening in the hopes of snagging a ticket to dress rehearsal or the live show. Some SNL superfans noted that the line wrapped around the block and more than 300 people were waiting, the longest line of any episode so far this season.

• SNL also released a cut for time sketch from the MBJ episode. This sketch sees MBJ and featured player Devon Walker as pastors trying to use collection money for an outdoor pizza oven.
• After a surprisingly busy night during the MBJ episode, cast member Andrew Dismukes made his first talk show appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers. He tells a story about an awkward encounter he had with Lorne Michaels and Paul Simon, talks about a flip-flop faux pas at his first table read as a cast member and describes what it's like to have your parents see an episode of SNL you were cut from.
