Twitter was so transparent about it too, not even a few weeks before she went on people were shitting on her only to praise her after the reviews came out.
I get it, we are all hypocrites but damn can we not be so obvious about it? All of this bc of a broadway show? Come on
Especially when it sounds like Julie Benko is good in the role too. It's not like Lea is the only performer who can do the show. Why not support the person who doesn't have a terrible reputation and boost her career instead?
She seriously doesn't. She acts like she's the biggest star of the 17th century opera who's also the king's mistress or something. She's not that untouchable or in demand. Hopefully Funny Girl won't change that...
Unfortunately I think Funny Girl is going to save her career. I’ve seen people on my Facebook say “I know she’s a terrible person, but her performance was transcendent!” ….Ok.
It might save it for now, but I don't see her having a great career after Funny Girl. She had a narrative going into Funny Girl from her years on Glee, but beyond that, I doubt people are really that interested. She has been coasting on Spring Awakening/Glee nostalgia, but people like her don't change and I don't see procedures lining up her door to cast her.
i honestly just see it as an ending to her real life glee storyline. It won't affect her star status imo, bc she's playing what was expected of her for the last 10+ years.
She doesn´t have the career to support this kind of behaviour
