-And just like that Gossip Girl is no more. The series finale premiered on HBO max this morning.
-So how did the show end? That's a secret i'll gladly tell.
-It wouldn't be GG if we didnt have one last dramatic rift between the throuple. As Auki was doubting his place in the ship, they quickly turned it over to Max feeling like odd boyfriend out. After confessing his love for his throuple and them not confessing it back he decided that they needed yet another break. One that lead him to get drunk and be taken advantage of by Obi's older sister who I assume is an adult.
-Obi finally got what he wanted by pairing with GG and sent his mother off to prison.
-The gang have had it with Gossip Girl destroying their lives so they plan to out her identity. All the teens score an invite to the Met Gala,break into Gossip Girl and post their darkest secrets, and having Zoya pretend that she is GG making her Met Gala debut in hopes that it will make GG jealous and out herself.
-The plan fails, Luna is pissed at J after a talent scout wants them to model for him and J downplaying Luna's interest in modeling.
-Having failed at outing GG they have one last trick up their designer sleeves: Make up a fake headline that Shonda Rhimes is interested in adapting the story of Gossip Girl.
-This finally gets whatshernames attention and in true Daenerys fashion, she storms to the meeting spot and before she even sees ANYONE proudly proclaims that she is Gossip Girl and she refuses to allow Zoya to get the credit.
-To her disillusionment, Andy Cohen plans to run the story on WWHL and Eric Van der Woodsen's husband have joined the teens to turn the tables on Katie with the police showing up just in time to take her away as she still believes that she can sell the rights to her story. Erics husband appears to be a lawyer fyi.
-Flash forward 2 months and the gang minus Monte/Luna/Max are in Greece on a relaxing vacation.
-We find out that Luna got a big time modeling gig over Julien as we see her campaign hanging in the background.
-We hear that Montes mother forbid her to go on vacation with her friends
-Max appears to be in Germany, being a hot mess and getting thrown out of a club. He is no longer speaking to his throuple.
-The show ends with Aki's father calling a meeting with Katies ex-lover revealing that he wants to take Gossip Girl global.
