So you just don't read things? And you just randomly inject stuff into your body without looking into what it is? Noted.

It's very Hollywood!

Yeah, it's her, and it's believable. She has done so many drugs and has admitted to using them recreationally and unprescribed. But I do believe she didn't know because she really doesn't know what she takes sometimes. Her being so honest was surprising since everyone these days wants to deny they ever used that medication.

That is wild to me! Must be like a Gen X thing bc if I get prescribed something, I am looking it up and watching YouTube videos about it lol

Oh, same! Yeah, I think Charlize Theron who is a friend of hers got invited to her show and accidentally let it out that she uses or used Percocet. She probably knows what the drug does, but she probably doesn't know what it's really for, so I do believe she didn't know. Most folks on these awful health and beauty "trends" wouldn't let out their secrets

Nah I’m Gen X and I’ve been prescribed stuff before, gone home and googled it and thought, nah I’m not taking that shit.

She’s just an idiot.

Same. When i was prescribed plaquenil i looked that shit up and side effects included things like believing people are controlling your behavior and can hear your thoughts/
feeling, seeing, or hearing things that are not there. Also your skin might blister, loosen, and fall off. And if your hallucinations dont scare you into insomnia and you manage to fall asleep..night terrors! Fuck that I'll live eith the joint pain!

I think it’s less of a Gen X thing, rather a “Doctors know what’s best and you should follow their advice” mentality. I always google any new meds to look for interactions or reactions. But maybe it’s because I have some medicine allergies and need to make sure what I’m taking isn’t in the same family.

You guys don't trust your doctors, but trust random people on youtube?

For me, I watch videos made by people taking whatever I am. Like their journey and things they experience while on the medication. I'm not trusting them more. Just seeing what it was like for them.

All my friends take whatever their doc prescribes without asking questions, idk how they do it because I do not trust docs like that lol

I'm just like your friend lol. I try reading about meds, understand nothing and just give after 5 seconds

same. i have very few very regular meds that i take in case of specific situations (painkiller, antibiotics for tonsil thingies, allergy pills), and anything straying from those requires some research.

Honestly, if a doctor I trust prescribes me something, I don't really check it? I know absolutely nothing about medicine

Same and I usually even avoid looking up stuff on the internet, because otherwise I'll start believing that taking one single ibuprofen will have 50% of chance to send me to the hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest lol
