Nashville Public Library has new Dolly library cards & I just got mine, it makes me unreasonably happy.

We also got Dolly plates for our car bc TN switched to new ugly default ones that say ‘In God We Trust’…ew, no thank you.

There aren’t many good things about living here these days so I’ll happily take these two unique opportunities to celebrate the Queen

I'll give you a sixty-eight for the cut work, OP. First time attempt: not at all bad.

ONTD, what would you do with a $100 million grant you have to give away?

I’ve said this before because I’ve had it mapped out in my head for years. I would use it to set up kitchen gardens in public schools in underprivileged areas, and fund both the gardens and the home ec classes so the kids could grow their own stuff and learn to cook it. And I’d have a network of volunteers among older people of the area to come and help with the garden and have transportation to come and pick them up and take them back after, with lunch or whatever included. And it would be able to accommodate people with mobility issues too so the garden beds would be raised for people who were in wheelchairs or couldn’t bend well or just needed to sit while working. So that way the kids would learn to garden, learn to cook, and spend time with older people in their community and learn about them too. And for the oldies they would be able to get out and about and share their gardening and cooking skills, and be less isolated

Pay off my debts, buy my parents a home, put some in a retirement account/secure my & family's future, and then probably set up a program to directly send money or pay debts to people in need and unable to find their way out of vicious poverty cycles. For that I'd probably need a couple people on a team, for good civil and financial planning, since I don't feel I'd be adept at that, and also to just follow through the correct legal path to making sure the recipients get a good amount. It's hard for so many of us and it'd be the same I wish someone would do for someone like me if they were ever as fortunate.
