From WaPo:

The filing was in response to a motion made by Holmes, 38, to loosen restrictions placed on her region of travel. To do so, Holmes has to prove that she is not a flight risk, a requirement prosecutors say she failed to meet.

Holmes posted a $500,000 bond secured by her parents’ home, her motion said, and has been living on an estate in California with a reported monthly upkeep of more than $13,000, according to the prosecutors’ filing.

She justified her request for the expanded travel based on her partner’s work commitments, and also recorded his salary as $0 despite asserting “that her partner pays the monthly bills rather than her,” the prosecutors’ document said.

Her attorneys argued in their motion that Holmes “has strong ties to her partner and family, including her son and soon-to-be-born child, that incentivize her to comply with her conditions of release.”

Also lol:
Holmes’s partner, William Evans, did end up taking the trip to Mexico and returned to the United States from South Africa more than five weeks later, court documents said.

I wonder if it was truly necessary to be away >5 weeks.

It says South Africa, which has me more confused.

Maybe he didn't stay in Mexico for the 5 weeks?

I know she’s evil but if she had succeeded her parents would have lost their home. How shitty.

that's the part that stuck out to me too. just shows how much of a monster she is, that she'd be willing to do that to her parents.

i would bet that there was already a contingency plan in place for the parents to relocate to a new home to the point that the parents house has already been downsized and prepped for a quick move out

I wonder if it's because he has a wealthy family and maybe they support him? Like a trust plus that mega mansion they live in. Revolting.

There's so much shady things in this article. Did the lawyers not follow up on any of these weird answers. Like
•How has someone with $0 income paying 13k a month upkeep and other bills?
•Why was he gone for 5 weeks? •Why did he go to South Africa?
•What tf was she planning on using to get into Mexico?
•And why a one way ticket?

husband's grandparents are rich so maybe they/his parents are paying his bills?

Oh that makes more sense. And maybe there aren't any big accounts in his name because even if he didn't work wouldn't the monthly interest earnings from investment accounts/savings be considered "income"?
